Dia de Portugal Festival 2008
Volunteer for the Dia de Portugal Festival 2008! This event is run by an entirely 100% volunteer group of hard working, dedicated individuals who want to preserve the Portuguese-American heritage in California for future generations. Committee Volunteers
If you’d like to participate in the planning of the festival, join the Festival Committee! We begin holding monthly meetings in October on the 3rd Monday of every month, at 7pm at POSSO in San Jose on Santa Clara Street. Committee members usually chair a sub-committee so that we can efficiently and effectively handle the growing demands of a growing festival. We are a small group, so the more people we have involved the more we can accomplish!
Festival Day Volunteers
If you’re just looking to volunteer the day of the festival, that’s fantastic too! As a festival day volunteer, you can help out in a number of ways. Where we need the most help is in the following areas:
Food booths
Drink booths
Children’s carnival
Information booth
T-shirt booth
Entrance booth
Morning set-up
Afternoon tear down
We also need help the Friday before the festival setting up all the booths, tables, chairs, signs, and overall logistics. Whether you can volunteer on Friday or Saturday, or both!, please email us and let us know you’re interested! DiadePortugalCA@yahoo.com.
